CAR SHOWCASE & COMPETITION

Join us at the Detroit Science Center for the premiere event: Future Cruisin’ 2010
on August 19-22. This four day event celebrates what makes Detroit the Motor City
with an Advanced Technology Car Showcase and Competition designed to award
trophies and prizes to independent car enthusiasts who have successfully designed,
fabricated or modified, and implemented the most advanced technology into their
sweet rides!

Thirteen judged categories:
Powertrain, Unique Vehicle, Safety, Historical, Design, Tires/Wheels, Audio, Mural/Artistry,
Green Vehicle, Body & Paint, Interior, Undercarriage/Chassis and Overall “Best in Show”
will make-up the competition.

In addition, guests of all ages can enjoy jam-packed activities inside and outside of
Michigan’s largest Science Center. Revved-up fun includes:

• An exciting Pit Crew Challenge for adults
  
  
• Pinewood Derby Car races for children (ages 12 and under) and Advanced Derby
  Races for adults (ages 13 and older) on a world record breaking track
