July 10
The concrete portion of the walls under the Digital Dome Theater is complete. Internal walls will be built to extend the cylinder and separate the round area from the exhibit area. The footing is in place for the west wall along John R Street. This area of the new Science Center will be devoted to Waves and the Electromagnetic Spectrum.

July 12
The forms for the west wall are being installed. The iron retaining wall along John R Street will be cut off near the top, and the remainder will be covered when the earth is back-filled against the walls

July 21
The west wall is relatively complete. Work continues along the area below the picture frame where the new entrance will be located. Steel I-beams, which will support the new Plaza Level above this Lower Level, will be going in place in September.
